The Centre for Discovery and Innovation at Cape Breton University will support program and research expansion, address community needs and help attract more people to Cape Breton Island. This will not happen without government action.
This new facility will
• Attract Cape Breton and international students to study in expanded science, engineering, and technology programs
• Train future nursing and public health practitioners to be ready to address post-covid and future world pandemic challenges
• Honour the legacy of Donald Marshall Jr. through the Marshall Institute
• Enable CBU to continue to drive population growth and the economic health of Cape Breton Island
