EDITION 2 | May 2020

Welcome to the 2nd edition of digital Distinction Magazine.

On May 9, we welcomed more than 1,400 new members into the CBU Alumni Family - our largest graduating class to date. Through a virtual celebration, spring 2020 graduates received messages from President Dingwall, Chancellor Annette Verschuren, Deans from our four schools as well as endless messages from fellow grads, classmates and members of the community through a digital guestbook. While this was not how we wanted to celebrate our graduates, we want all grads to know how proud we are of their accomplishments.

Inside this edition, you’ll meet members of the Alumni family, like Alumnus, Siva, who is making a difference in his home village in India. You’ll meet the Alumna behind the church bells at the Highland Arts Theatre and a new Alumna who served as the first Indigenous Liaison Officer for the CBU Student's Union.

You’ll also meet Alumnus, Kevin Hillman whose legacy is helping students during their time at CBU through a memorial scholarship in his name. You'll also read a letter from an Alumna working on the frontlines during COVID-19.

Stay safe and remember, we are in this together.
