Message from President Dingwall

Over the last couple of weeks, our community, along with the rest of Canada, has experienced a great deal of difficult change during a time of many unknowns. Businesses, your family, and your work are being tested in ways like never before.

As Cape Bretoners, we’re doing what we always do. Adapting and moving forward and persevering, together.

As Alumni, donors and supporters of CBU, I want to let you know that we are thinking innovatively and working collaboratively to identify ways to partner with our community to help stop the spread of COVID 19.

We are also ensuring we’re able to continue with our mission of supporting students’ best interests at CBU.

We are trusting in our governments and Dr. Robert Strang, the Chief Medical Officer of Health for Nova Scotia, and following their lead to ensure we maintain the health and safety of our campus community and of those who live in Cape Breton.

We are pleased to share with you stories of strength, creativity and determination from members of our CBU community which I hope will inspire you in some way during these uncertain times.

To our extended CBU family, please know we are forever grateful for your support.

Take care of each other and remember, we are in this together.

Yours very truly,

President David C. Dingwall
